REFLECTION
Explain how your experience affected you as a person.
My experience has given me a new excitement for my future and has also taken the stress of finding a college off of me going into my spring softball season.
How did you change?
I became more aware of how many schools there are to choose from and how many people get the opportunity to play at the next level.
How do you see the world differently as a result of your experience?
I have become more aware of just how many colleges there are for someone to choose from. Even just Ohio has hundreds of options and this experience allowed me to explore places outside of Hilliard.
How did this experience impact or reveal your character?
I am a lot more confident in myself and my athletic ability after being in contact with Division II schools and getting an offer. It showed me that I am good enough to play at the next level, which I have been second-guessing for a long time.
Was this a meaningful experience? why or why not?
This was an extremely meaningful experience because this choice determines my future for the next four years and beyond and it is crucial I find my best fit.
What new knowledge or skills did you learn from this experience?
I gained the ability to talk to coaches professionally, organize lots of information, and use both process of elimination and pros-cons lists to determine my best options.
What would you do differently if you were to start over?
I would reach out to more Division II schools and focus less on Division III options. Division II can offer me athletic money, which is a very important factor.

My final decision was to commit to Walsh University to pursue my academic and athletic careers.
This was a very long, difficult decision but I could not be happier with my choice, I am so thrilled to be a part of a Division II softball program and I could not have gotten through this process so smoothly without my travel softball coach and my parents, who have advised me the entire way and made sure I was making the best decision I could make. Go Cavaliers!
